This rather eccentric piece is tricky to date given the restoration on the front, but the wood on the back is old. The design is something I had not seen before. I suspect it is a 19th century piece in the medieval style perhaps using older pieces of wood. It presents beautiful bulinatura (punchwork) in the central and corner decoration with typical florentine floral designs.
